Norilsk Nickel may use the Maslovsk deposit till the end of the year

Norilsk Nickel’s license for right to use subsoil for geological survey – search and assessment of platinum, copper and nickel deposits at the Maslovsk site (the Krasnoyarsk region) – has been prolonged till the end of 2014.

The company received the license in August of 2006, it expired at the end of 2013. According to the license’s terms, Norilsk Nickel was to prepare and coordinate the project of geological survey before the end of August of 2007, to start geological works before the end of November of 2007, to finish the stage of search before the end of 2009 and the assessment stage – before the end of 2013. Norilsk Nickel must complete the further survey of engineering-geological, hydrogeological and mining conditions before the end of 2014.
