Lukoil to take part in auction for offshore areas in Norway

Lukoil intends to actively participate in the 23rd licensing round for the right to develop deposits of the Norwegian continental shelf, expected at the end of this year, general director of Lukoil Overseas North Shelf AS Leonid Surguchov reports.

"We also entered into a consortium of three-dimensional seismic, as an extreme party. 33 companies have already joined the consortium in three areas of the Barents Sea, and we are engaged in a detailed regional study of the central part of the Barents Sea ... Each company is responsible for its area. We have started interpretation of the seismic survey,"- Surguchov said.
