Draft law on increase of MET for Gazprom submitted to State Duma

The Russian Government has submitted the draft law on increase of the mineral extraction tax for Gazprom in 2016 to the State Duma.
The draft law was registered in the system of legislative activity of the State Duma. According to the document, the basic value of a unit of reference fuel to be used in the formula for gas MET calculation is expected to increase by 36.7%. "One-time adjustment will provide the increase by 36.7% and will spread only to organizations with the exclusive right to export natural gas in gaseous state," – the draft law notes.
