Austria reports the 15% gas shortage from Russia.

On Thursday Austria received 15% less Russian gas, the Viennese edition Die Presse reported, citing E-Control Ltd data on Thursday.

According to Walter Boltz, the E-Control Executive Director, the fluctuations in the supply of gas are not uncommon, but Russia usually quickly gives the reason why the problem occurred. This time no response came from Moscow to the corresponding request, and that’s why the Austrians can not say whether it is a technical problem at the compressor station or there is another reason.

Vienna claims there is nothing to fear. Austria has enough gas reserves to experience deficit at the current consumption of small volumes.

On Thursday Slovakia also reported the problems with the supply and 10% shortfall of the amount prescribed in the contract.
