A new record of drilling penetration is set at the Novoportovskoye field

The construction of the production well №9286 with a new record level of penetration - 1000 meters in 6 days - has been completed at the Novoportovskoye field of Gazpromneft Novy Port on the well pad №5. Previously, the best result at a similar well was reached in October 2014 - 1000 meters in 8 days.
To perform the intended task the drillers took a little more than 34 days (the plan was 38 days). The total excavation of the well made up 5500 meters, including 1000 meters of the horizontal section.
By the end of the year, 16 wells are planned to be drilled at the Novoportovskoye field, and by the end of 2018 their number will increase to 125, the press centre of the company says.
