ExxonMobil’s hydrocarbon production at the Scythian field to completely provide the Ukraine with energy sources

The signing of the agreement on hydrocarbons production with ExxonMobil at the Scythian field gives the Ukraine hope to completely provide the country with energy resources, the Ukrainian Minister of Energy and the Coal Industry Eduard Stavitsky stated.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian Minister met ExxonMobil Exploration Company’s Director of Geological Exploration, Kevin Biddle, ExxonMobil Corp’s main adviser on government communications Steven Mann and the Chairman of the company’s office in the Ukraine, Jim Johnston. During the meeting, the parties discussed the details of the cooperation in the Ukraine, in particular, signing of a production sharing agreement on hydrocarbons, which will be produced within the Scythian site on the shelf of the Black Sea.
