Up to 45 billion cubic meters of Russian gas may be pumped into European underground gas storages

The Russian gas holding company Gazprom can use European storages to pump contract volumes of natural gas. Thus, the Russian party tries to explain to its Western partners “alternative guarantees” of provision of fuel supplies to European consumers in winter. President of the Russian gas society ,Pavel Zavalny told this variant at the press conference.

“Today, European underground gas storages are only half used, it’s possible to pump 40-45 billion cubic meters of gas more into them,” – Zavalny said.
