SOCAR starts construction in the framework of modernization of Baku oil refinery in 2017
In 2017 SOCAR plans to start construction in the framework of the modernization of the Baku oil refinery n.a. G. Aliev, the deputy CEO of SOCAR OGPC, E. Alkhsasly, said.
The license holders will be selected within a month. Until the end of 2016 the preparation of FEED-project will be over. Next year it is planned to start the actual construction in the framework of the project, he said.
He added that the construction of the complex on the production of Euro-5 diesel fuel will be over until June 2019. The complex will comprise: a catalyst cracking unit, atmosphere-vacuum unit, LPG production unit Merox etc.
The works on the construction of a complex of Euro-5 gasoline production at the Baku oil refinery are planned to be completed in May 2020. It is planned to put into operation a new bitumen unit at the plant in June 2018, he said.
