By 2020, Kazakhstan to produce almost 90 million tons of oil

By 2020, the volume of the oil production in Kazakhstan should reach 90 million tons of oil, the First Deputy Minister of Energy Uzakbai Karabalin stated at the first international forum for exploration of oil and gas «Kazakhstan Geology Forum, Oil & Gas».

"We believe that if today we produce about 80 million tons, by the time (2020), with the launch of the Kashagan deposit, plus the launch of the project on Tengiz extension, this figure should growth to 86 - 88 million tons per year. We look with optimism, if all goes well, this figure could increase,"- said the Deputy Minister.
