Kazakhstan signs a deal on the construction of APG processing plant

The Ministry of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan has concluded a deal at £179 millions ($300 mln) with Compact GTL on the construction of a plant for the processing of associated gas into diesel fuel.

The signing of an agreement took place in London within the frame of the Caspian conference. The Minister of Oil and Gas, U.Karabalin signed a memorandum of understanding in the name of Kazakhstan, former chief-executive of BP ,Tony Hayward – in the name of Compact GTL.

Compact GTL suggests creating the first commercial mini-enterprise in Kazakhstan on the processing of 820 000 cubic meters of associated gas a day, approximately 3000 barrels of diesel fuel a day and monetize more than 300 million cubic meters of gas a year.
