"Gazprom" plans to drill 18 exploration wells at Chayandinsk oil and gas field.

The plans for drilling exploration wells, as well as infrastructure development at the oil and gas fields in Yakutia were discussed during a visit of Alexei Davydov, the General Director of LLC "Gazprom Exploration", to the Republic of Sakha. During the trip he visited several production facilities of the Chayandinsk field, Alexey Davydov also held several meetings with representatives of the regional authorities of the Republic.

LLC "Gazprom Exploration" is a subsidiary of OAO "Gazprom". The organization was established with the aim of optimizing the activities of Gazprom's exploration of new oil and gas fields. Currently in Yakutia, the company is working on the creation of a large gas production center in the Chayandinsk field. By 2014-2015 it is planned to drill 18 exploration wells, as well as to conduct a seismic survey in the territory of more than 2.5 thousand square km.
