Minpromtorg granted 400 billion roubles for seismic exploration at the Arctic shelf

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (Minpromtorg) has granted 400 billion roubles for the development of safe seismic survey technology for the bottom of the sea at the shelf zones. According to experts, seismoacoustic survey applied influences negatively on the ecology of the Arctic Ocean. The winners of the contest are to develop new service technologies and seismic prospecting technique at the Arctic shelf. 400 billion roubles is not the final sum. Financing can be increased during the year.
