Gazprom has not received 100% access to the OPAL gas pipeline

Gazprom didn’t receive 100% access to the OPAL gas pipeline – land spur from the Nord Stream pipeline – from January, as it was expected, the Wintershall’s Head Rainer Seele said at the briefing.

In January of the current year, the signing of memorandum between Russia and the EU was planned – it gave to Gazprom the right of 100% use of the OPAL’s capacities during six months.

“Because of the order of the European Commission, Gazprom can’t reserve more than 50% in this pipeline,” – Seele said,RIA Novosti reports.
