Rosneft has notified the Government of the Murmansk region that it freezes the projects in the region. The approximate period of the shutdown of works is about 6 years, is reported.
The company’s management explains its actions by the reduction of prices for hydrocarbons. In mid 2014 it was decided that the oil companies would set up a supporting coastal base for the realization of their projects. The main transshipment center was planned to be located at the ship repair plant in Murmansk.
