Gas reserves in the Ukraine fell to 10.63 bln cubic m

On Jan 3-10th 2015 the gas reserves at the underground gas storage facilities in the Ukraine fell by 581 mln cubic m (5.2%) and currently make up 10.63 bln cubic m.

In general, from the start of the heating season the Ukraine has used over 6 bln cubic m of gas previously pumped in the underground gas storage facilities.

The total capacity of the Ukraine’s underground gas storage facilities makes up 31 bln cubic m. They are used to create the reserves and provide a reliable gas transit to Europe. Previously it was reported that in 2014 there were no investors ready to invest into the Ukraine’s gas transport system.
