Chelyabinsk zinc plan rises in price to 18.4 billion rubles

Last year, capitalization of Chelyabinsk zinc plant (ChZP) on the Moscow Stock Exchange almost tripled. On Friday, the company cost 18.4 billion rubles and this is a historical record of the capitalization, it was higher only during IPO. The main growth occurred in the last two weeks of the previous year. Shares were bought up by structure of Ilya Shcherbovich - UCP Resources Limited. On December 26, the plant reported that UCP Resources Limited increased its stake in the capital of Chelyabinsk zinc plant by 6.9% to 22.43%. The shares were purchased on the market from other minority shareholders of the plant, a spokesman of Shcherbovich reported: "The main shareholder of Chelyabinsk zinc plant didn’t sell the shares to us". Before the announcement of the purchase, 6.9% on the Moscow Stock Exchange cost 800 million rubles.
