There is no substitute for South Stream

Turkey is not going to change its orientation in the energy sector and TANAP remains its priority, but not an analogue of Russian South Stream, said the head of the country’s Foreign Ministry. And the Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said that the country wouldn’t’ finance the marine section of the pipeline, says the RBC daily.

The construction of Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) remains the priority for Turkey, the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said. This project is a part of Southern Gas Corridor, on which the European Union decided to bet, he said.
