59 oil and gas deposits are operated in Azerbaijan

By the beginning of 2014, 59 oil and gas deposits were operated in Azerbaijan, 40 of them are onshore deposits, the rest 19 – offshore, is said in SOCAR’s report on the results of 2013.
The total number of deposits as of the beginning of the year made up 82, however, 23 of them were not engaged into the development by various reasons or their development had been terminate.
This statistics covers both the developed by SOCAR itself layers and the structures developed together with foreign partners.
