Novosibirsk Iron and Steel works named after Kuzmin filed a bankruptcy petition

Novosibirsk Iron and Steel works named after Kuzmin (NMZ, controlled by “Metalservice-Group) has filed a bankruptcy petition, Kommersant writes.

In July 2009 there was initiated supervision on an initiative of NMZ, part of Estar Group. The debt of the enterprise made up almost 6.5 billion roubles. The plant moved over under the control of “Metalservice-group” through the intermediary of the regional authority. In December 2009 the creditors of the plant signed amicable agreement under terms of delay in paying. The debts went down to 1.6 billion.
