Rosneft proposes the abandoment of the tax manoeuvre

Rosneft has suggested the abandonment of the tax manoeuvre in the oil industry, the Kommersant reports.

In late October, head of Rosneft Igor Sechin sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Sources familiar with the document told the newspaper that instead of the manoeuvre Sechin offers to reduce the export duty on heavy oil.

The apparatus of the Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich told the newspaper that "they haven’t seen this letter, the Government's position on the tax manoeuvre is defined". The Energy Ministry declined to comment, but the newspaper’s source in the Ministry confirmed the receipt of the Sechin’s letter.
