“Yamal LNG” has sold 70% of scheduled gas production volume

The volume of contracts on the supply of liquefied natural gas from “Yamal LNG” has reached 70% of the planned production volume, CFO of NOVATEK  Mark Gyetvay said to “Prime” Agency.

The project “Yamal LNG” considers the construction of a plant on gas liquefaction at 16.5 million tons capacity. NOVATEK is the principal shareholder of the project with 80% share. Another 20% belongs to French Total. The Chinese CNPC is about to acquire 20% from NOVATEK before December 1st.
