As of October the 1st, the Ukraine has pumped 17 billion cubic meters into its underground gas storage facilities, Naftogas Ukrainy’s press release reports.

Earlier, the Ukraine announced plans to pump only 14 billion cubic meters of gas, which it needs, but Gazprom demanded it to increase this volume to 19 billion cubic meters to provide the fail-safe transit to the EU. Later Kiev adjusted its plans of fuel pumping to 17-20 billion cubic meters.
