Metallurgical and Pipe sectors lose $500-600 mln a year because of the use of second hand pipes

According to O.Kalinsky, the head of the Russian Pipe Industry Development Fund, the damage by second hand pipes use may make up $500-600 million.
He said that there has been research carried out into thesecond hand pipes market since 2008 by the Fund with participation of “Principal Metallurgical cCmpany”,(TMK) The Pipe Metallurgical Company”, and the “Chelyabinsk Pipe plant”, which are the main manufacturers of pipes made from steel.
