V.Putin threatens Europe with natural gas supply shutdown, experts.

It has been reported the mass-media all across the EU that Russia will shutdown the gas supply to Europe. They have created anti-Russian mood in doing so and whip up hysteria around the situation. The words of the media are no more than speculation.

The Russian President definitely said that Gazprom would take measures against the gas purchasing countries, which were about to sell gas to Naftogaz on the reverse supply scheme. He has emphasized that Russia is well aware of what sort of reverse is that. Obviously, it violates the terms of the agreements, concluded with the purchasers, and does not permit the purchasers to sell gas. This is what the President of Russia V.Putin meant. But, despite exaggerated announcements, Russia has not taken concrete steps to stop manipulation. The gas reverse, despite the terms of the agreement, was launched in 2013 and functions until now. What is more, it is expanded. Nobody has been punished so far.
