The Ukraine promises not to cut off Russian gas transit to Europe

The Ukraine promises not to cut off Russian gas transit to Europe. A spokesman for “Ukrtransnafta” in Central Europe M.Rakovski said in Bratislava.

Doubts about the fulfillment of the obligations by the Ukraine appeared when the head of the government A.Yatsenyuk asserted that the transit can be cut off as a responsive action on sanctions, Moscow wants to impose against Kiev. “I speak about all sanctions, inclusive of the suspension of all types of transits such as flights and energy products,” he said.

An announcement was made amidst another economic dispute between the two countries. “Naftogas Ukrainy” demanded to reconsider the contract, under which the volume and transit terms of natural gas via the territory of the Ukraine within the period from 2009 to 2019 have been registered. The head of the Board of Management of the Ukrainian holding, A.Kobolev asserted. He leaves open the possibility of the examination of issues in the Stockholm Arbitration Court.
