South Stream will be completed in spite of the relations between the West and Russia says head of OMV.

Gerhard Roiss, the Head of the Austrian oil company OMV, believes that the confrontation of the West and Russia on the background of the situation in Ukraine will not cancel the planned construction of the "South Stream" gas pipeline, the publication in the Financial Times informs.

"The pipeline – is a project with the life cycle of 50 years, so you need to look at things realistically", - the head of OMV stated. "The customers rely on the delivery of gas. Thus, I do not see the possibility of imposing the sanctions on gas", - he added.
