Sakhalin gas to be liquefied and processed into motor fuel for the Far East

In autumn gas extraction at the Kirinskoye deposit situated at the shelf of Sakhalin will start. Natural gas will be the main product processed at the LNG plant in Primorye, the deputy Chairman of Gazprom ,Vitaly Markelov said.
“The prospective project is being fulfilled in the framework of the Eastern gas program. It has been approved by the RF government. The Cabinet Council charged Gazprom with the coordination of extraction, transportation and processing of raw materials”, he reported.
