Kazakhstan becomes the major transiter of Turkmen gas to China

Turkmen gas exports to Russia stably reduces. Since the date of the launch from the gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to China via Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Russia gradually loses its leading position of Turkmen gas importer and transiter. However the income of Turkmenistan continues growing.
After collapse of the USSR, most of the representatives of the Turkmen political and economic elite left the state for Russia, the Ukraine or abroad the CIS. All that remained in Turkmenistan was the previously constructed oil and gas infrastructure and the pipeline system that includes the largest pipeline Central Asia – Center. They did not arise the point of cessation of Turkmen gas supplies to Russia then.
