In January-May, the Amur region increased gold production by 5%

In the January-May 2014, subsoil users of the Amur produced 10.026 tons of gold that is by 5.1% more than the same period of the previous year, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Amur region reports.

The growth was reached due to the mining of lode gold (in the first 5 months - 9.4 tons); mostly by the enterprises of Petropavlovsk Plc. The volume of placer gold maintained at the past year's level - 626 kg, local mass media report.
