The Boguchansk plant launched without fanfare.
As it turned out from the statistics of Russian Railways, the Boguchansk Aluminium Smelter (BoAS; part of the joint venture of "Rusal" and "RusHydro"), the official launch of which the partners transferred to the end of 2014, is already producing significant volumes of metal for export. The cost price of aluminium at BoAS should be low enough, and the official launch of the company could be concealed, so as not to provoke a fall in world prices for the metal.
