Exploration of oil reserves at the shelf of the Far East to start in the next few years

The Ministry for the Development of the Far East claimed, the state of the geolgical exploration of Russian shelf is 10 times as low as that of American shelf in the Chukchee Sea and 20 times as low as that of Norwegian shelf. Meanwhile, development of oil and gas deposits of the territory will stimulate hastened development of the Far East.
The prospects of the development of the oil and gas deposits at the continental shelf in the water areas of the Far Eastern and East Arctic Seas were discussed by Gazprom, Rosneft, Exxon Neftegaz Ltd., scientists and representatives of regional authorities.
