Norilsk Nickel has elected new Chairman of its Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Norilsk Nickel announced the results of the extraordinary shareholders meeting on Monday that it has elected to the post of the Chairman the former chief of De Beers,the diamond producers, G. Penny, the CEO of Norilsk Nickel V. Potanin stated.
Mr. Penny was been nominated to the post of independent director by Interros holding 28% in the company. The former Chairman of Norilsk Nickel Board of Directors was the Vice CEO of Interros A. Bugrov.
