Gazprom can reduce the gas price for the Ukraine retrospectively from January 1st 2013 from the current $426 to $260 if the state introduces the amendments to its legislation granting the opportunity for the renting of its GTS by Gazprom.
Kommersant Ukraine reports that Gazprom has demanded from Kiev that it introduce to Ukrainian legislation a law that would guarantee renting of its GTS by Gazprom because Article 7 of the Law ‘About pipeline transport’ prohibits the granting of the GTS for rent, concession or leasing.
