The Ukraine reduced metal scrap export by 1/3 in January

In Jan 2015 the Ukrainian enterprises reduced the export of ferrous metal scrap by 34.9% against Jan 2014 to 40.701 thousand tons.

According to the Customs Statistics, the export of metal scrap in monetary terms fell by 40.5% to $11.827 mln.

The import of metal scrap in natural terms fell by 98.1% to 251 tons against Jan 2014, in monetary terms – fell by 91.55 to $390 thousand.

The metal scrap was imported from Turkey (100% in monetary terms), exported to Turkey (98.41%) and Moldova (1.59%).

In 2014 the Ukraine exported 936.937 thousand tons of ferrous metal scrap for $295.191 mln while in 2013 – 255.272 thousand tons of metal scrap for $79.648 mln.
