The Prime Minister of Russia, D. Medvedev, hoped that the Ukraine would settle the remaining part of its debt for the Russian gas until the end of 2014.
“We have granted over $80 bln in the form of discounts for gas. I mean the period from the 90s until the beginning of this millennium. We sold gas at $40-50 per thousand cubic m to it and recently we turned to the reasonable ways of price making”, he said.
Speaking about a “disputable debt for gas of the Ukraine”, he said that if there is no opportunity to agree, the parties will meet at the Stockholm Arbitration Court.
