The Ukraine lacks 1.5 billion hryvnia for the purchase of coal.

The Ukraine further needs 1.5 billion hryvnia to pay for the coal to the enterprises of heat generation. Yuriy Prodan, the head of department, made such an assessment of the Ministry of Energy and the Coal Industry at a briefing on Thursday, October 9th.

"We need financial resources for the purchase of coal for the heat generation - until the end of the year - 1.5 billion UAH. We hope that in the near future the decision (on funding - Ed.) will be made, and we are looking forward for this decision", - the Minister stated. He also stressed that the Ukraine has already started to operate in the short supply of coal mode. "While this is an insignificant amount, but the trend is unpleasant", - Prodan stated.
