Russia is ready to sign a 3 party protocol with EU and the Ukraine

Russia will agree to sign a 3-party protocol on gas with the Ukraine and EU Commission only in case this document comprises mutual obligations of the parties, the Minister of Energy of Russia, A. Novak, said.

According to him, the Ukraine and EU Commission keep insisting on the signing of a respective protocol for autumn-winter 2015-2018. However, Russia is ready for that only in case if the document states the obligations of all the 3 parties. Russia is ready to sign such a  document.

“If it is about some approaches on forming of discounts for gas, it doesn’t suit us, such issues are already stipulated in our contracts. We will discuss these issues. There is  not much time left, as the autumn-winter period is coming soon, and there is not enough gas at the Ukraine’s underground storages”, Novak said.
