Profit of operator of Nord Stream rose by 1.6 times to 7 bln roubles in H1

​The profit of Nord Stream (operator of Nord Stream) rose by 1.6 times in H1 2015 against H1 2014 to 7.042 bln roubles, Gazprom reported under IAS. Gazprom’s stake is 51% in the company –operator.

The revenue of Nord Stream rose from 12.972 bln roubles to 19.196 bln roubles.

Nord Stream has 2 branches with the length of 1,224 km and throughput capacity of 27.5 bln cubic m of gas each. It connects the EU energy system with the largest gas deposits directly via the Baltic Sea. The onshore continuations of Nord Stream in Germany are NEL and OPAL.

The shareholders of Nord Stream are Gazprom (51%), Wintershall and E.ON Ruhgas – 15.5% each, Gasunie and ENGIE – 9% each.
