In January-July Donetsk metallurgical plant reduces rolled metal production by 12.4% - to 275 thousand tons

In January-July 2011 the Donetsk metallurgical plant reduced rolled metal production by 12.4% compared to the same period of the previous year - to 275 thousand tons, the plant reports.


Steel production was reduced by 16.4% compared to January-July 2010 and made up 276 thousand tons, production of cast iron – by 10.1% - to 697 thousand tons.


In July the plant produced 37 thousand tons of rolled metal, 40 thousand tons of steel and 117 thousand tons of cast iron.


In 2010 the plant increased the production of rolled metal by 12.1% compared to 2009 – to 530 thousand tons. Steel production remained at the level of 2009 – 529 thousand tons and cast iron production reduced by 5.7% - to 1.316 million tons. The plant specializes in the production of more than 290 kinds of rolled section and structural shapes, thick and shipbuilding plates.


Donetsk metallurgical plant is included into the Donetsksteel group.
