Tatneft call bitumen oil its strategic resource and asks for state support

In the first six months, Tatneft drilled over 380 thousand meters, which is almost two times more than in the same period in 2014. 155 new production wells were launched. This was reported by the company’s general director Nail Maganov at the oil summit of Tatarstan, which was held in the Bugulma region.
According to him, the significant increase in the drilling was caused, among other things, by the expansion of works at the Ashalchinskoye viscous oil (bitumen oil). The general director of Tatneft called it a strategic resource asset to the company.
