Rosneft has started drilling at the Lebedinsky deposit at the shelf of the Sea of Okhotsk

The length of the well via the bottom of the sea will make up 5.3 thousand m.

Rosneft has stated the operational drilling at the Lebedinsky oil and gas condensate deposit at the shelf of the Sea of Okhotsk.

The drilling works are held by RN-Sakhalinmorneftegas Ltd, the drilling contractor is RN-Burenie Ltd.

In the process of the well construction it is planned to apply the newest technologies in the sphere of drilling, including the technology of online collector charting which will allow to realize the best entrance into the layer, quickly make decisions on the correction of the well path and specify the program of development of the deposit.

In total in the framework of the project it is planned to drill 3 horizontal extraction wells of 5-7 thousand m long. The start of extraction at the new wells is expected in 2016.

The Lebedinsky sea structure is located in the north-east shelf of the Sea of Okhotsk in the Okhinsky district of the Sakhalin region. The oil of the Lebedinsky deposit is close to the Sokol oil mark by its quality.
