Varieganneftegaz to study deposits in the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district in details

Varieganneftegaz, a Rosneft’s subsidiary, has begun the first stage of pilot projects for additional exploration of gas deposits at the licensed areas in the territory of the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district.

The major works will be focused on the Vaniegan and North-Variegan fields.

On the results of geological exploration, namely detailed 3D seismic survey and drilling of an appraisal well, three exploratory wells were started only at the North-Variegan field. Completion of these wells drilling will enable to start the full-scale development of the site.
