Ferrexpo almost saved output in Jan-February 2015 at the level of Jan-February 2014

​Ferrexpo plc (UK), that controls the Poltava and Eristovsky GOKS in the Ukraine, on the results of Jan-February 2015 reduced the production of pellets by 0.16% against the same period in 2014 to 1.875 mln tons.

Within that period the company reduced concentrate output by 2.6% to 2.212 mln tons.

In February the company produced 865 thousand tons of pellets and 1.069 mln tons of concentrate.

In 2014 Ferrexpo increased the output of pellets out of its own raw materials by 2% against 2013 to 10 mln 670.45 thousand tons, out of external raw materials – by 1% to 350.86 thousand tons. In general it led to the rise of the total volume of pellets output in 2014 by 1.9% to 11 mln 21.3 thousand tons.

The output of pellets with 65% contents of iron made up 5 mln 803.2 thousand tons (+16.3%), with 62% contents – 5 mln 218.1 thousand tons (-10.4%).
