Sibur increases processing of APG by 3.3% - to 18 billion cubic metres in 2011

In 2011,the gas processing plants of Sibur processed more than 18 billion cubic metres of associated petroleum gas – by 3.3% more than in 2010 (17.5 billion cubic metres).The production of dry stripping gas made up 15.8 billion cubic metres (+2.9%). The total volume of petrochemical products produced in 2011 exceeded 14.4 million tons – by 6.7% more than in 2010 (13.5 million tons), the company’s press service reports. In 2011 production of mineral fertilizers increased by 3% and reached 3 million tons. The production of car tyres made up 13.4 million pcs – by 54% more than in 2010 (8.7 million pcs).

From 2012 tyres and fertilizers won’t be recorded in the company’s reports due to selling of non-core assets at the end of 2011. The total investments of Sibur in modernization and building of new facilities exceeded 58.6 billion rubles in 2011.

The largest completed projects include launch of a products pipeline network in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the launch of a railway complex for storing and pouring of NGL near Noyabrsk, lines producing road geotextile in Kemerovo and Tula Regions. Building of large complexes producing polypropylene in Tobolsk, PVC in Nizhny Novgorod Region, thermoplastic elastomers in Voronezh, expandable polystyrene in Perm (second line) as well as complexes for transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases and light oil products in Leningrad Region continued.
