The rules of the game..Rosneft and the 19.5% share sale

The rules of the game always contain exceptions, Kirill Melnikov, the FEC team leader, explains.

When on November 30th it was reported that the Government has approved the sale of 19.5% of the shares of "Rosneft", now owned by "Rosneftegaz", the market essentially took it as a purely technical step. The sale of the share in the oil company was discussed throughout the year, but until recently, the government officials and sources of "the Kommersant" close to "Rosneft" referred to this rather sceptically: Who will sell the biggest asset in these complex political and market conditions? However, it seems the situation is developing.
