Azerbaijan plans to increase oil and gas extraction in 2015

SOCAR plans to increase its oil and gas extraction along with the realization of other large projects within the country and overseas, the company’s head, R. Abdullaev, said.

“The projects aimed or the expansion of the oil and gas extraction, particularly at the old deposits, will be realized”, R. Abdullaev said.

According to him, in 2015 the works in the framework of the 2nd stage of Shakh-Deniz realization as well as the construction of TAP and TANAP will go on.

Moreover, the construction of the oil refinery plant STAR in Turkey and a port in Izmir will go on. In general, $20 bln will be invested into the realization of SOCAR’s projects in Turkey.
