Expert: fate of TAP and TANAP depends on Russia

​The fate of TAP and TANAP gas pipelines on the gas shipment to Turkey and Europe depends on the situation in Turkey and Syria, ex-delegate of Serbia, D. Mirovich, said.

Low oil prices which aim at the weakening of the economy of Russia can’t stay for a long time – more than a year or two, he said.

“Despite of all actions, it hasn’t happened, and it is problematic for the West to acknowledge such a situation. Russia has stayed the hardest strike on its economy and it becomes clear the oil weapon – oil price fall – which was crucial for the USSR doesn’t have the same success against the modern Russia. In this sense the economic union of Russia and China leads to serious changes in the world, the strength of which can’t be predicted in full”, Mirovich said.
