From January 1 of 2015, Hungary is ready to resume gas supplies to the Ukraine

The running of the Slovak-Hungarian interconnector at full capacity from January 1st, 2015 will allow Hungary to resume the gas supplies to the Ukraine, the head of the Hungarian Government, V.Orban stated in conversation with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

"With the full commissioning of the Slovak-Hungarian interconnector from 1st January 2015, we will be able to supply not only Russian gas to the Ukraine, if our Ukrainian friends want it," - he said.

According V.Orban, Hungary plans to pursue a common European energy policy, but now its priority is to ensure its own energy security and filling of underground gas storages.
