By the end of 2014, gold production can increase by 22% in Chukotka

By the end of 2014, gold production can increase by 22% to 30 tons in Chukotka autonomous area compared to 24.646 tons last year, the Minister of Development of the East A. Galushka says.

The growth is provided in particular by the launch of a concentrating plant at the Mayskoye deposit of Polymetal and a mine at the Dvoynoye deposit of Kinross Gold. At the expense of these projects, common  commercial production in the region increased by 182.8%.
