Russian news: the gas prices in Europe could rise by twice.

The natural gas prices in Europe will rise at by at least twice in the case of disruptions in supply of the fuel from Russia on the background of the Ukrainian crisis, as this year winter is likely to be colder than the last time, the experts of Energy Aspects predict, their report cited by Bloomberg.

The lack of a permanent diplomatic solution of the Ukrainian problems may lead to the suspension of gas supplies from Russia for about 2 weeks during the Q1 2015, Trevor Sikorski, the expert of Energy Aspects, stated. In this situation, Europe will be forced to compete for gas with Asia, which already pays more than other regions of the world, even without the increased demand during the heating season.

Longer interruptions are less likely, the analysts Energy Aspects suppose.
